Student Path to Success

Mission Vista provides a rigorous four year program intended to challenge students academically, prepare them for a full range of college / career options, and support their personal / social growth.

Our traditional block schedule delivers curriculum at twice the pace of normal semester schedule programs.  Students have the opportunity to complete four 10-credit classes in the fall term and a new set of four 10-credit classes in the spring term for a total of 80 credits per year.  Students complete 220+ credits in district required curriculum by subject area in four years.  Earning a VUSD high school diploma acknowledges sound work ethics, excellent attendance, and a commitment to succeed.

MVHS’s expected status by year end: 9th Grade: 80 credits / 10th Grade: 160 credits / 11th Grade: 220+ credits / 12th Grade: 280+ credits
