  • Winter formal is coming up fast, the theme is roaring 20’s: golden ball, and the price for this week is 85 dollars with an ASB card and 90 without! The court nominations are also live, check your email for the link to nominate your winter formal kings and queens. If you want to keep up with updates for winter formal go to our Instagram.
  • The boy's basketball season is here and the team will be having their first home game this Friday, come and support by wearing white
  • Hey Mission Vista, do you want to help your community? Donate used blankets to the homeless and humane society! You can drop off your donations in the library from 12/9-12/13. For more information, contact Sasha Heczko at 800014075@vistausd.org.
  • STUDIO 903 AFTER-SCHOOL CREATIVITY WORKSHOPS ARE BACK FOR THE HOLIDAYS We’re firing up the Glowforge to design & create custom laser cut ornaments just in time for the Winter Break! Join us to ignite your creativity and have some fun making creative gifts for family & friends. TUESDAY • DECEMBER 10 AND  WEDNESDAY • DECEMBER 18
  • Considering attending MiraCosta or Palomar College next fall?   Interested in taking a community college class this spring?  Schedule a meeting with our college ambassadors for assistance with the application and enrollment process.   MiraCosta will be on campus today from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm.  Palomar will be here Thursday from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm.    Sign up online or contact Ms. Moore in the College & Career Center for more info.
  • Juniors and Seniors!   Looking for an internship opportunity? MVHS is offering a new internship course for the spring semester!  Complete the online application form by Friday, December 6 to be considered for this course.    Stop by the College & Career Center for more information.  
    Are you interested in completing an internship?  Maybe you already have an internship and you want to earn elective credits.  Consider adding the Internship elective class to your spring schedule.  An internship is a formal work experience offering students the chance to learn about a specific occupation, career path, or industry.  Applications to the Internship Class are due December 6.  Use the QR code posted on the Internship course flier.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Moore in the career center or Mrs. Rosen in room 607. (flier attached)
  • Are you concerned about bike safety at our school? Girl Scout Troop 1058 is working to find a way to improve the bike path into school. Help them out by going to change.org/mvhsbikesafety to sign a petition and bring more attention to this issue.

  • The student of the week is Nate Farrar. He is an academic warrior on and off the court, very kind and encouraging, willing to help others in a classroom, very inspiring, and saves the city at night. He leads his English class by example, in the runnings for valedictorian with a perfect GPA of 4.7. Also is head of multiple clubs, and captain of the baseball team.
